That’s the event in this period in Cambridge: at the end of the term all people go to see bumps at the river.
Every college has its own team, often more than a couple, to race and all students go and camp near the river to watch his team trying to ‘bump’ other boats.
How it works:
The team has to arrive to the start point.
Once all teams have arrived they have to take place.
After the shot the race begins.
The goal is rowing faster as you can to reach the boat behind you, it means the boat that is in a better position than yours.
If a boat reach the boat behind than it has to touch it with the wing and it wins, otherwise the boat that hasn’t been touch wins.
The team that has been touched loses.
